Allama Iqbal Open University has announced the spring semester 2023 phase-ll admission schedule for Pakistani students in different degree programs. Students can enroll in BS 4 years programs (Inter based), BS 2.5 years programs (BA/BSc Based), Associate Degree Programs (BA General), BBA program 4 years, teacher training programs, and different postgraduate diplomas. AIOU is offering spring admission 2023 in the following programs
BS (2.5 Years) Program
AIOU has introduced the BS 2.5(two and half years) program(alternative to MA/MSc) 1st time for the B.A/B.Sc or equivalent degree passed candidates. We have already told you in our previous post that HEC has barred students from taking admission to Master’s level degree programs since June 30, 2022. The BA/BSc passed candidates can appear in the following BS(2.5) programs

Eligibility Criteria For BS (2.5) Programs
A candidate with a 14-year(fourteen years of education) bachelor’s degree in BA/BSc/BCom/ relevant subjects or equivalent qualification with at least 45% in any discipline from a university recognized by the HEC is eligible for admission. There is no distinction between age and merit. All students who fulfill these criteria will be given admission.
Duration
The minimum period for completion of the Programme is two and a half (2.5) years consisting of five semesters, while the maximum period will be 5 Years or as per AIOU rule(s) as prescribed by HEC.
Medium of Instructions
The medium of instruction and examinations will be English, except for the courses in languages and literature.

Associate Degree (BA/B.Com) 2 Years Programs
Allama Iqbal Open University offers admission an Associate Degree In Arts(BA Arts), an Associate Degree In Commerce(B.Com), and Open Courses for Inter passed candidates. Students can enroll in 2 years degree programs in the spring admission 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who has passed intermediate exams with at least 45% marks is eligible for admission. There is no distinction between age and merit. All students who fulfill these criteria will be given admission.
Duration
The minimum period for completion of the Associate Degree (B.A/B.Com)Programme is two years consisting of four semesters. The students will have to pass 66 credits.
