Assistance scheme
The Government of Pakistan has launched a special Assistance scheme Rs. 10,000 Ramadan Relief Scheme to support poor and deserving families during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative aims to ease the economic burden of low-income households by providing direct cash assistance.
This money is being distributed through special envelopes delivered by government representatives or postmen, ensuring that help reaches the beneficiaries directly and without hassle.

Eligibility Criteria

Must hold a poverty score of 30 or below

Registration Procedure
If a person is not yet registered, he can submit his application as per the procedure provided by the government:
The government had fixed a specific period for registration, and priority was given to those who applied early.
After the registration is completed, the eligible persons will receive a confirmation message from the Govt.
If a person does not receive the message, it means that he is not eligible, while the application will be rejected in case of incomplete information.

Procedure for receiving grant money
The government has devised a simple procedure for disbursement of relief money:
The government representative or postman will go to the home of the deserving person and deliver the aid envelope.
Payment will be made after verification of National Identity Card.
If a person has a bank account, he can go to the bank and get the pay order cashed.
Government has designated “Bank of Punjab” where people can receive their relief money.
For those who do not have a bank account, the government has appointed special representatives who will complete their verification and payment process.

Federal Government Assistance Scheme
Apart from the Punjab Government, the Federal Government has also introduced a separate relief scheme:
Federal government assistance is for those whose poverty score is less than 25.
Eligible persons will receive an SMS from 9999 number in which a PIN code will be given.
Do not share this PIN code with anyone, otherwise the money may go to someone else’s account.
Individuals can visit any Omni Group or Retailer shop after biometric authentication to receive money.
